The method - sometimes referred to as a 5-minute lift - involves injecting highly pure hyaluronic acid, which supports the body's own production of elastin and collagen. Flood your skin with moisture from within: As a painless anti-aging procedure, the PROFHILO ® treatment gives your skin a fresh boost in no time. The PROFHILO ® product is unique. It is based on the substance hyaluronic acid in one of the highest concentrations in the world: 2 ml of the product contains 64 mg of hyaluronic acid. PROFHILO ® hyaluronic acid does not contain the additive BDDE and therefore stands for the best tolerability with a minimized risk of side effects.
At the same time, the product is a particularly stable substance thanks to a natural cross-linking of high-molecular hyaluronic acid and low-molecular hyaluronic acid. This means that PROFHILO ® hyaluronic acid remains in the skin for significantly longer after injection than other variants of the active ingredient hyaluronic acid: the tissue is supplied with moisture over a large area for up to 30 times longer.

After injection, PROFHILO ® remains in the skin for approximately 28 days and stimulates the body's own production of collagen and elastin. This leads to tissue tightening, improves skin elasticity, moisture and structure, and reduces wrinkles. The results usually last 6-9 months, depending on various factors. To achieve optimal results, two treatments four weeks apart are usually recommended, followed by maintenance treatments every six months.
1. Epidermis – the outer protective barrier
The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin and protects the body from harmful influences such as bacteria, UV radiation, or dehydration. It consists primarily of so-called keratinocytes, which form the stratum corneum – our visible skin surface. These cells renew themselves regularly, with dead skin cells being shed and replaced by new ones. This layer also produces the skin's own melanin, which is responsible for UV protection and skin color. Since the epidermis itself has no blood supply, it relies on the underlying dermis for its supply. Many cosmetic and medical-aesthetic applications, such as skin boosters, light peels, or nourishing hyaluronic acid products, target this skin layer to improve its structure.
2. Dermis – the living center of the skin
The dermis (also called the leather skin) lies beneath the epidermis and consists of tough tissue. It contains blood vessels, nerves, sebaceous and sweat glands, as well as important structures for skin elasticity, collagen and elastin fibers. These fibers ensure firmness and resilience. The dermis also stores a large portion of moisture. With age, the natural production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid decreases, leading to wrinkles, decreased skin elasticity, and sagging. This is precisely where Profhilo comes in. By injecting high-purity hyaluronic acid into the dermis, the tissue is stimulated to regenerate, a principle of bio-remodeling that sustainably improves the skin's appearance.
3. Subcutaneous tissue – the deepest layer of skin
The lowest layer of skin is the subcutaneous tissue, also known as the subcutaneous tissue. It consists primarily of loose skin tissue and fat cells. This fat layer serves as an energy and heat store and acts as a shock absorber. Larger blood vessels and nerve pathways run through it. In aesthetic medicine, this layer is often targeted for volume-enhancing wrinkle treatments with fillers, while products like Profhilo tend to work in the upper layers. Nevertheless, the subcutaneous tissue plays an important role in the overall appearance and structure of the skin.
